On the latest denial they stipulate an additional stipulation which is not documented on my contract. I provided them with my contract and no response since then. STAY AWAY!!! SCAM

Taking part of the Flyback Mexico program, in year 1, we were able to get our $2000 back for two certificates. Turns out you need to write them back to confirm you got the refund within 30 days. We did not. So year two, "you didn't read paragraph #7 that stated you had to confirm via email you got the $ or forfeit any refund in the following year." So we are out the $2000 they owe us. No one ever pointed that out during the sales process, mind you. What a scam.

I am hearing lots of complaints about the same issues we are having - delayed & denied payments. The most recent excuse seems to be that we were supposed to confirm receiving the last payment. I was never told this anywhere. I think they are avoiding paying everyone because they are broke. I am considering starting a class action lawsuit against this company for lying to us and holding our money hostage. Anyone else interested? Contact me at scammedbyflyback@***.com

Inexcusable delays on Flyback rebates

My wife and I have made four trips on the Flyback Program. Each successive application for our rebate took longer than the previous. We are now 8 months out from our 2nd last trip with no response to the 3 status inquiries we have made. Needless to say our rebate request from our most recent trip in March has not been satisfied either...

Lies about the Fly Back Program

We bought our membership in 2016 and purchased a fly back certificate. In 2017, we upgraded our membership and purchased 4 more fly back certificates. What they didn't tell us was that the program had been revised during that year and we lost benefits we had with our original program. Now in 2021 I found out that the original fly back we purchased in 2016 was also canceled when we upgraded. How does that happen.

We bought into this program several years ago. On our first trip after buying in, and dozens of emails, we were finally reimbursed (9 months after completion of trip). Several years past without going down (one year too busy, one year covid). We went down in May and immediately submitted all paperwork for reimbursement. They responded back that since I did not acknowledge receipt of the reimbursement within 7 days of receiving it (several years ago), I am no longer eligible for reimbursement. I have not received a clarifying response to any of the dozen emails I have sent over the past 4 months. Buyer beware

Mexico has a consumer & goods tax of 16%, and the credit card company’s charges a 2.5% fee on top of the currency exchange rate. So add 16% to $2000USD = $2320 USD + exchange rate at time of purchase (if any) + 2.5% of that total.

Not saying the company isn’t otherwise sketchy, but that may be the reason there is a higher amount applied on card. Unless you meant there was a separate unexplained charge.

Fly Back

I would be very very careful before purchasing fly back. We have done it for three years.

The first I had to fight tooth and nail to get our money and it was about a 2 year process. The second year went a bit smoother because I had a direct email from the first year of constant phone calls and fights. Of course no one stays in their jobs for long. The third year our boarding passes with.

destination Cancun accidentally got thrown away which is a requirement. Our airline was not able to reprint the boarding pass but was able to show verification we were on the flight. I also was able to submit our boarding passes coming home from Cancun. However Fly Back in unwilling to look beyond a specific requirement to see that we were in fact in Cancun and are unwilling to give us our money.

We are out $6,000 and the lack of customer service is appalling. On top of the person in charge yelled at me and wouldnt let me talk. She was unwilling to listen or let me talk to anyone else.

Makes me think this company is barely hanging on and doesnt really have the money to give back to costumers if every year has to be a fight.

Bottom line I would be very cautious giving Fly Back any money. If you enjoy having to fight and work for money that is owed you then maybe its a good choice but just be ready to work for every penny owed to you!!!

Flyback program Scam!?!

We purchased the Flyback program at the same time of purchasing a membership to become Exotic members of Karisma resorts. After our first trip eligible for the Flyback refund, I emailed all required information in...this was Jan. 2020. It has now been 10 months with back and forth emails and excuse after excuse as to why the refund has not been sent. I just took another vacation, and sent my info in yesterday. Wondering if I will ever get anything for the $1000 purchase of the Flyback redemption. Pretty sure it is a Scam!!

No fly back money returned.

We have been members of Karisma in Cancun for 10+ years. We are ruby members and have fly-back. They've always been slow in getting our refund to us. This year we returned in Feb. I got all our paper work in and we have still not received anything. Plus they won't answer any contact to them. I know that this has been a hard year for all, but at least a reply would be nice. I know several other folks that we have met there over the years and they have received nothing either.

My wife and I purchased $500 each in flyback in October 2018 we went back 3 days after our date in October 2019. I sent everything by email and May 11 2020 got email transfer is on the way. You have to be patient and follow every letter to the T.

The only reason I purchased the weeks with Karisma Hotels was because the flyback helped make it affordable. We submitted last year for the first time and did receive the refund, but it took over 6 months. We went on a trip over the Christmas holidays and submitted the paperwork earlier this month... They just emailed me to say that my submission was ten days (!) after their deadline for submitting. I didn't even realize there was a deadline, or else I would have obviously sent it earlier. Why we need to submit an "application" makes no sense. I booked through the Prestige website and I obviously flew from Canada to Mexico, so they already have our info. Why is there a deadline to submit? Sounds like a trick so they don't have to pay out. Karisma, your resorts are very nice but you need to get on top of this. You sold us the flyback option, so you are the face of that organization to your members. I will be letting everyone I meet during future visits (including your prospective customers that are thinking about signing up with you) about this scam. Is $2000 really worth that much to you? Unfortunately, I think I know the answer to that already.

Reimbursement requests to the FlyBack program have been made but the wait time is much longer than specified in the "contract" and communication is poor. Waiting 7 months for last request made in July 2019 that should have been sent in 60 days per the agreement and 3 1/2 months per their recently published guidlines for submission of requests.
